Commissioner Troxler congratulates Joe Freeman of Mistletoe Meadows in
Ashe County, at the cutting of one of the farm's Fraser firs. The
24-year-old tree, in background, was chosen for display in the Blue Room
at the White House. It is the 10th tree from North Carolina to be
selected for the honor. |

Commissioner Troxler toured the Frontier Spinning Mills operation in
Sanford. Frontier supports the cotton industry in North Carolina
by employing over 1600 people and is one of the largest producers of
100% cotton and cotton-blend yards in the world. |
