Commissioner Troxler presents a "North Carolina Century Farm" sign to Corky Boyd, cattleman from Haywood County. Mr. Boyd's farm has been in agricultural production for over 100 years.

August - Richmond County
Commissioner Troxler meets with Jim Lambeth of Triple L Farms in Ellerbe. Triple L Farms is a fourth generation family farm located near Derby.

During a visit to Western North Carolina in early August, the Commissioner poses with agricultural leaders and families who worked to establish yet another Farmland Preservation District.

June - Wake County
Commissioner Troxler and his wife Sharon give a young man a ride on the "Big Cart" at the Got To Be NC Festival in Raleigh in early June.  The Big Cart has been used to turn the heads of both young and old alike since it was introduced."

The Council of State approved a request from Commissioner Troxler to allocate $370,800 to the Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation to purchase 25 no-till grass drills.  Commissioner Troxler tries out one of the new sod drills himself.

Commissioner Troxler presents a Century Farm certificate to members of the Warren family, during a luncheon honoring Century Farm families in Brunswick County. More than 30 families from Brunswick County were recognized.
